Lease at EmersonA lot of my clients have been asking me this question lately. Bangs are the hot hair trend this season, but they’re not for everyone. Here are some things to consider if you think you want bangs.
First, consider your cowlicks, hair texture and growth pattern. If you have significant cowlicks, or curl to your hair, you will be constantly fighting them. However, a good blow dry with the right brush can make it easy; ask your stylist to show you how. Also, think about whether you want to spend the extra time in the morning styling your bangs.
Next, consider the shape of your face. Bangs come in many different styles. Certain shapes and lengths of bangs can flatter one face shape but accentuate flaws on another. Your stylist should be able to make recommendations as to what would best suit your face shape.
Longer, blunt bangs are more flattering on oval, heart shaped, or long face shapes.
