Men’s Summer Hair Trends for 2010

This season’s trends for men’s hairstyles are gearing towards more natural looks with only minimal product or styling. As we say in the hair business: the cut is the thing! Here are a few styles gaining popularity no matter what hair length you are looking for.

02long

The first haircut is for men who like to wear their hair longer but want to avoid looking messy. This haircut is an 100% shear haircut leaving longer lengths all over. The front is lightly textured above the brow line and blended into the rest of the haircut. This allows for easy parting away from the eyes and face. When styling this haircut, try Easy Rider by Kevin Murphy. It has minimal hold, controls frizz and aids in manageability.

The shortest of these haircuts has an 80′s feel with a current twist. It is clean and close on the sides and the top is very textured. The bang is very long and can be left messy around the brow area or parted and put to the side. A great product to style this cut with would be Glimmer Shine by Moroccan Oil which protects the hair during heat styling or flat ironing for straightness. This product is also weightless, creates luminous shine and allows the hair to retain its natural movement.

This medium length haircut is extremely versatile. This cut allows for more fullness on the sides and back and can be customized according to the hair type. Its important to leave length towards the face to allow for styling the hair backwards. The top is left long with soft layers to allow for it to be worn down, to the side or styled back like in the picture. A good product for this hairstyle would be HairShaper by Fudge. It has medium hold and enables height when styling.

Great styles. Thank you. We are seeing some guys opting for a much shorter look. Sort of a military look but longer than a buzz cut. Something slightly longer and more stylish than American’s Crew’s Eno of a couple years back.
