After the amazing Seattle Sounders FC 2009 Season it is safe to say that Seattle LOVES soccer! There is no doubt a huge following for professional sports in Seattle and now the fans are coming through to support the Sounders FC. The Sounders FC became the second MLS expansion team in league history (Chicago was first) to win the U.S. Open Cup tournament in their first season. The Sounders attracted the best average home crowds of 30,943 in just their first year in MLS (source). With all the excitement and anticipation for the 2010 season ticket sales have been record breaking. More than 31,000 season tickets already have been sold. Quest fields seating configuration has been expanded to approximately 35,500 to accommodate the growing fan base. Get your tickets soon, or you may miss out on an amazing season!

I found my two passions in life are much related. Unique hair styles and soccer go hand in hand. Everyone knows the faux hawk became a hit from Beckham and the Sounders are no exception to trend setting hair styles. A lot of the players wear their hair short but there are a few honorable mentions. Not everyone can emulate there amazing soccer skills but you can have their hair styles!

Most famous would be Fredy Montero. His unique European hair style is fun on the field but also wearable day to day. If you’re looking for a little more edge, something that isn’t seen every day, but not TOO out there this is the cut for you! In essence it is a Mohawk down the center with the sides cut shorter but still blended into the Mohawk. This is definitely a style you will need product for but don’t let that overwhelm you.

Another great style on the sounders team is there fierce second string goalkeeper Terry Boss. You may not know him as well because he is second to the famous Kc Keller but don’t under estimate Terry he is a great goalkeeper as well. His cut is shorter all around and is a variation on Beckhams Fohawk! If you want a short cut that is still stylish this is a great way to go. It is cut close with clippers on the side and blended to longer on top so it is still styleable. This is a style you can shower and go with; obviously it will look better with a little product on top to define it!

Midfielder Stephen King has the cut for an easy, every day, any hair type, low maintenance style. You can wash and wear with no product, if you must, but with a lot of texture in it you can still put product in it and style it for a change! It is cut close but not clipper short, the top is longer but not drastically, this allows for diversity in how you can wear it.

There are so many options for men’s cuts, don’t sell yourself short, come in to a great salon and get the haircut that works for you!

Chad has been my client for a few years and while I knew he had a son, Damien, I had never met him, until today. Chad and Lynn were going to buzz all Damien’s hair off because it was so long! After consultation however, we all decided that maybe a faux hawk wasn’t a bad idea for a little one, so we did that. Damien is very smart and well-behaved for a kid who is turning 3 soon and the faux hawk looked awesome on him! Good work Chad & Lynn!

Kate always gets a version of a fauxhawk. She also has a ton of hair and wild cowlicks, so we fade the sides and back tightly and texturize the longer hair to death to get it to cooperate. We had cut her hair recently but the cowlicks were being particularly unruly, so she came back in for a fix.
