Bio
Marissa came to Emerson Salon in 2008 looking for a more creative environment to pursue her passion for hair and style. Here she has continued to focus on her craft, becoming a salon expert in extensions, balayage, curly hair, and short bobs. Recently, her work has been featured at mopshots.com as an example of excellence in hair.

Beginning her career, Marissa trained at the Paul Mitchell Academy in Austin, Texas where she studied precision cutting and styling techniques. During her schooling she apprenticed at the prestigious Jackson Ruiz Aveda Lifestyle Salon in Austin learning from some of the region’s top stylists.

In 2006, Marissa felt ready to make the jump to the next level of her career and made the move to beautiful Seattle. Here, she began working at a local Aveda salon and continued her advanced training with leading industry professionals. In 2008 Marissa completed the HairLocs extensions certification in Hollywood, CA.

Marissa prides herself on her customer focus and practical style. Whether you are looking for a modern translation of a classic style or an edgy new cut and color, she can create unique styles that are both attractive and easy to maintain. Marissa’s focus on her client is demonstrated by her drive to always design a cut that compliments the facial structure and hair texture.
