Vogue magazine recently featured an article about Moroccan Oil on its website and highlighted its ability to refresh and revitalize your hair. They shared with us that on Oscar night many celebrity hairstyles incorporated this styling line including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Charlize Theron and Anna Kendrick. Hair From The Grammy’s: Jennifer Lopez & Hayley Williams

Hayley looked amazing with her dress and hair combination. As Jocelyn Vena put it in her blog, Hayley Williams is the “a punk rock Audrey Hepburn”.

Jennifer sported a 1970′s inspired hair do. BellaSugar has the lowdown on how to pull off the look.

First, apply Moroccanoil Treatment on wet locks and blow-dry until the hair is smooth, using a round brush to build volume. After making a center part, start curling. Use a one-inch iron, making sure you curl the hair downward in a spiral fashion. (Vetica started curling in the back of Jennifer’s hair, working his way to the front, lifting her hair away from her face in the process.) Next, break up the curl with your fingers and apply Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream for texture and hold. Product of the Week: Moroccan Oil

Moroccan Oil! This stuff is amazing! In fact the whole line works wonders. We can’t seem to keep this stuff on the shelves. Mainly because it is such a versatile product.

I absolutely love the Moroccan Oil Treatment for all hair types. And yes, you can literally use it for all hair types. Curly, straight, dry, thick, fine-this product is awesome. It moisturizes, protects from UV damage, conditions, helps smooth frizz, reduces flyaways, and smells great. All without leaving a heavy residue like a lot of other shine products.

Apply to damp hair before styling to minimize the frizz and protect from the blow dryer, or add a bit to dry hair to smooth, moisturize and fight flyaways. If you’re still not totally sold on this, we carry a small bottle for starters. You will be hooked!

Ring in the New Year with shiny, healthy hair!

Many things about this time of year can make your hair dull. Worry not, our stylists have plenty of ideas to keep your hair shiny, healthy and full of body. We offer deep conditioning services to go with your new haircut or spoil yourself and come in just for a treatment and a blow dry.

For those of you who still haven’t tried the Moroccan Oil line, you are missing out. My favorite is the Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask. It works wonders. Take it from me, someone who is in the process of going from dark hair to blonde. Wash, towel dry, apply the mask and cover with a plastic cap and sit under the drier for 20 minutes. If you are doing this at home, simply wrap a warm, damp towel over the plastic cap to keep in the heat and moisture. Rinse and style as usual, adding a few sprays of the Moroccan Oil Glimmer Shine Spray to finish. The Glimmer Shine also contains UV filters that will protect the hair all day. It’s great for those who enjoy winter sports or just like to be outdoors.

Preparing Your Hair For Seattle’s "Monsoon" Weather

The weather forecast is predicting more rain this week in Seattle and this may spell trouble for your coif.

Frizz, “poofiness,” and lack of manageability may be caused by humidity in the air. To conquer this, use Moroccan Oil!

Extreme Summer Kicks: Looking your Best for a Day at the Amusement Park!

Being from Ohio, I really miss going to amusement parks in the summer. If you ever travel to Ohio and enjoy thrill rides and coasters, check out Cedar Point. They have been the leader in amusement park technology since before your shiny hipster arse was born!!! Here is a clip of one of their newest thrill rides, “Chaos”:

To keep your hair looking great both pre and post-coaster, wear it in braids, ponytails or pigtails AND deep condition it first.
