Here are just a few updates on the changing scene of Capitol Hill:

Another Pioneer Square business is rumored to be making the move to Cap Hill, with Pioneer Square Video eying a spot on Pine st across from 611 supreme.  More here at CHS.

Everyday Music will be moving onto 10th between Pike and Pine with Elliot Bay Books and a new art supply store is in the works for Everyday Music’s current space at Pine and Broadway.  More at CHS.  This article also confirmed that the new Elliot Bay Books will include a cafe.

Cap Hill Seattle got photos of the new Sonic Boom Records and Velouria clothing store on Melrose between Pike and Pine.

Seattle PI ran an article about a tour they took of the new Packard building with lots of pictures.  Looks like it will mostly include brand new luxury apartments, but rumor has it that it will also be home to a new permanent Skillet restaurant which would be fantastic and at 12th and Pine more than close enough for mid day lunch breaks!

The Lobby Bar opened across the street from us and look awesome.  Check out their website for more details.

PoDogs has become a new favorite for our current lunch run’s and with their all-day happy hour on Sundays, who can resist?

Seattle’s new defacto fashion blog, It’s My Darlin, has been patrolling the streets to keep up to date on the the best in local winter fashion. Capitol Hill, true to its edgy reputation, is rife with great unique looks like this picture of Asya taken on 14th & Pine outside Online Coffee Co. Se all the great looks on the It’s My Darlin blog. Over the past few weeks there have been a number of rumors circulating of a potential move by one of Seattle’s most iconic businesses, Elliot Bay Books, from Pioneer Square to Capitol Hill. This is a very exciting prospect and could do some great things for the neighborhood. Currently the owner of Elliot Bay seems to have not made a public decision yet, but their lease is up in 2 months so we should probably be hearing a solid decision soon. Whatever Elliot Bay decides, they would be a welcome addition to Capitol Hill and we can’t wait to hear what they decide! More info in the CHS Blog and The New Pioneer Square.

Don’t forget to RSVP for tomorrow’s Capitol Hill Holiday Hoopla being hosted by the Capitol Hill Seattle Blog at Pravada Studios from 6pm to 9pm. We can’t help it, we just can’t get the ridiculously sticky song Home (music video below) out of our heads. There is something altogether appealing about this simple and easy song, even if AllMusic.com repeatedly call the band “cultish”. Regardless, this is sure to be an interesting show and have some excellent music. More details on the show are at the Neumos website. Check out the video for their song “Home”.

Looking for a new place to recover from a long week at work, we suggest checking out the Lookout Bar on Capitol Hill. Located towards the north end of the hill near the intersection of Bellevue and Bellevue, the bar looks out over SLU, the lake, and the Space Needle, a perfect vantage point for watching the storm clouds roll into town. Everyday they run happy hour from 4 to 7pm with $3 micros and $4 wines and wells. Definitely worth checking out before sampling the apocalypse in tonights opening of 2012.

Well as we have previously blogged about, Capitol Hill will soon welcome a new restaurant into the neighborhood and they now have a Grand Opening planned for this Saturday! We can’t wait. Poking around their website, they have such interesting concoctions planned as a hot dog with scrambled eggs and one with peanut butter and bananas.
