Capitol Hill Block Party is July 24, 25 and 26th located on E. Pike St. from Broadway to 12th Ave.

It is a yearly event that brings many local and national acts to town for an urban located festival of music, dancing, food and fun! In addition to parts of E. Pike St, 10th and 11th Ave between Pike and Pine Streets will also be closed. (SEE MAP BELOW)

The Mainstage is located right at Broadway and E. Pike St and CHBP uses the corridor  where Emerson Salon is as an EXIT corridor and load-in area ONLY. No entrance to the festival occurs at that location unless you are going to a business in that specific area.

(CONDITIONS APPLY: The passes are NON-TRANSFERRABLE, ID required,  Will Call List is final at 1o am each festival day so it is imperative to inform your stylist ahead of your appointment, and the hair appointment must be day of or day before in order to get the pass of your preference)

Capitol Hill Block Party Special at Emerson Salon

Now that summer is OFFICIALLY in progress, its time to start thinking of all the summer fetes and celebrations! Warm weather brings the best out of Seattle-ites when the “foreign” sun shines instead of our usual gloomy grey. This weekend is the kickoff of Gay Pride 2012 with a parade and festival in downtown, lower queen anne and a picnic at Volunteer Park. Hopefully the weather is better and all can dance in the streets!

In addition, the last weekend of July, Emerson Salon is taking part in offering a GREAT deal for indie music lovers who want to attend Capitol Hill Block Party.

If you book a haircut or color service appointment on July 20, 21 or 22, you receive a day pass of your choice for Capitol Hill Block Party! Email Emersonsalon@gmail.com or click the “Book Now” button on www.emersonsalon.com to reserve an appointment and block party day pass!

(*In order to use the pass, your name will be left at the “will call” section of the ticket booth. Day pass is good only for the day of the appointment.*)

This year features Neko Case, Fitz and the Tantrums, and many more. For the full lineup and info, click here: CAPITOL HILL BLOCK PARTY website.
