An Idaho native Joe was immersed at a young age in music, global cultures, and the arts. As a college student Joe was able to expand his aesthetic sense with dance, sculpture and the theater. The theater and dance productions were the first place Joe observed the power of transformation. After college Joe enrolled in the local cosmetology program and started his path to a lifelong love for hair.
After successfully graduating his program Joe spent the next few years honing his craft in Idaho. Men’s grooming and care, color, and foundational cutting were the main focus for Joe as he grew his skill set. Leaving Idaho for the opportunities and educational benefits of the city more than eight years ago Joe has had the privilege of working with nationally acclaimed stylists and grow his craft to include photo shoots and runway work locally.
Living in the International District, working on Capital Hill, Joe loves the blending of cultures, history, and architecture all set against the backdrop of the Cascades and Puget Sound. After several years of amazing opportunities and education in some of the top salons in Seattle, Joe was lucky to find a home with the talented team here at Emerson where he has been able to grow his expression in color, precision cutting and styling.
