Meet Lancer

“Bringing Hair Back to Life‚ÄĚ

Lancer graduated Cosmetology school in 1989 in Akron, Ohio. Since then, he has worked on many clients in Akron and also in Southeast Alaska. He landed in Seattle in 1999, and has worked in Capitol Hill salons since 2004.

On Cutting: Lancer can fix a bad haircut, create a new look, or maintain a consistent look.

On Color: Lancer can cover, blend, or enhance your gray hairs. He can give you natural looking highlights utilizing Balayage, Foiling, Foilayage or Sombre’ techniques. He is also creative, utilizing pastels, vivids, metallics, or deep jewel tones. He can also enhance or dull your natural hair shade.

What To Expect: Lancer is¬†an introvert, which might seem unusual for a hairstylist. While working on a client, he is very focused and does not multitask.¬†In fact,¬†If you’d prefer a quiet chair experience¬†in which you’d rather be¬†left alone to relax during your visit, please notate “Quiet Chair” in your appointment notes. Lancer is¬†more than happy¬†to accommodate this request! Lancer prefers to provide his clients with a safe space where they can be themselves, reflect, and hopefully, relax. Tuesdays are the most quiet day in the salon for his clients.

Salon Hours: 10:00-7:00

What I love most about being a stylist?

I love forming positive relationships with people. I am gratified most when I can help those with difficult hair, maintain a specific look for those who want consistency with their style, create versatile haircut for those who want a polished look by day and an edgy look at night, or when I can create a custom cut and color combination service to bring out my clients' best features and style.

Favorite Music?

Gothic and Industrial genres, mostly.

Personal Motto?

"Happiness = Reality/Expectations"

Favorite coffee house?

I am partial to Caffè Umbria's flagship store in Pioneer Square. I go there when I chance to have a barista brew an Americano for me, as well as to purchase their wonderful coffee beans to use in my mini French Press at the salon.
